Carol is a marvellous nurse and a lovely person. She helped me immensely during titration. She has a great breadth and depth of specialist knowledge. She is very good at listening and interpreting what I'm trying to say. She combines compassion and patience with an intelligent approach. She is very thorough and very understanding. I'd recommend her very highly and without reservation of any kind.

Carol has been my titration nurse after my diagnosis through Psychiatry UK with combined ADHD last December. I cannot recommend her highly enough. My well-being and safety were at the heart of everything she did and her communication with me around my blood pressure and response to medication was exemplary. She responded extremely quickly to any questions or queries that I had and her sensitivity to my needs was exactly what I needed at the time. she made the process transparent and understandable, in spite of us only ever communicating through casenotes and online. Many thanks indeed for this incredible service.

Carol has titrated me for ADHD medication. As you might imagine, being diagnosed with ADHD at 50 years old and starting on a controlled medication caused me some anxiety. Carol was reassuring, she explained everything carefully and at length. She has also been efficient and exacting, I felt I could rely on her throughout the whole process. Unerringly polite and sympathetic, Carol is professional and personable, and I am grateful to have had her support through what has been an enormous change in my life.

Carol was my titration nurse for my ADHD treatment with psychiatry-uk. She always responded very quickly, would respond to every question I had and always took her time to ensure I was on the correct dose and treatment for me. She was lovely to work with and I would recommend her for anyone requiring treatment.

Carol was my nurse prescriber during my titration period whilst taking medication for ADHD. Carol was excellent always answering any questions I had promptly. When emailing Carol I would always have a response within 24 hours, often on the same day. Carol also was very happy to listen to me and adapt based on my needs and always made me feel as though I could ask any questions. I could not recommend Carol enough. She has been a great support through a period of big change.

Profile

I am a registered nurse prescriber. I started my journey as a mental health nurse by completing the recognised nursing course in the UK. Since qualifying as a nurse in 2011, I have worked in acute inpatient and community settings. I have helped pioneered the start of an NHS Adult ADHD service in 2011 and developed the service together with a Consultant Psychiatrist and provided a nurse led service for adults. Since 2011, I have participated in training conferences to help train other clinicians who were planning to start an adult ADHD service in their locality or those who have just started working in an adult ADHD service. I have given talks about the nurse led Adult ADHD service that I have helped pioneered in conferences/training sessions.

I was voted Clinician of The Year in 2017 in the NHS Trust I was working with, and this reflects my dedication and commitment to continue to develop my nursing practice and deliver the best nursing intervention to those in need.
